Ryan House is an Arizona-based facility that provides a loving community where children can truly be themselves and live their lives to the fullest in a safe, homelike environment. Children receive personalized, expert care provided by our prestigious care partners and highly trained clinical staff. In addition, the staff delivers emotional, spiritual, and social support for children and their families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Our mission is to enrich the quality of life and create cherished memories for children and their families, providing a much-needed break from 24/7 caregiving as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys.
Since opening our doors in 2010, we remains the only free-standing facility of its kind in the Southwest and one of just three in the United States. Currently, there is no reimbursement for the palliative and respite services Ryan House provides.

HopeKids
Each year in the United States, approximately 500,000 children cope with life-threatening medical conditions. These conditions affect the entire family with more than half of parents suffering from acute stress disorders and 80% of siblings having elevated levels of posttraumatic stress. In addition, illnesses contribute to over 62% of bankruptcy filings each year. More than $800 million is spent on medical research annually to find cures for cancer or other diseases, but these families need support now.
Numerous studies show that hope can increase one’s overall ability to cope and that familial support in chronically ill children is vital. HopeKids understands we are not a cure for these illnesses, but we believe HOPE IS A POWERFUL MEDICINE.
HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. In Arizona, we serve over 1,300 families by providing over 500 annual hope-filled events including things such as sporting events, theatre productions, private movie screenings, concerts, holiday parties, and more. Through our events, families feel a return to normalcy and children are given the determination to keep fighting their illness.

Phoenix Boys Choir
The Phoenix Boys Choir, founded in 1947 as Moore’s Boys Chorus, began with rehearsals at the A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary and gave its first performance in 1949. Under the leadership of directors like
Dr. Harvey K. Smith, the choir grew in artistry, officially became the Phoenix Boys Choir, and launched its first European tour in 1971. Today, the non-profit provides boys ages 7–18 with world-class voice training, music theory, and performance opportunities, offering a full concert season that spans classical to contemporary works. Choristers have performed for four U.S. Presidents, collaborated with organizations such as the Phoenix Symphony and Arizona Opera, and even recorded projects like the Arizona Cardinals’ holiday card and the soundtrack for the PlayStation game Sword of the Sea (2025).

In addition to musical excellence, the Phoenix Boys Choir is deeply committed to community service and cultural engagement. They have partnered with organizations such as St. Mary’s Food Bank, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Rosie’s House, while performing at events like Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding, Celebrity Fight Night, and countless sporting events, including the National Anthem at games for the Diamondbacks, Suns, Coyotes, Rattlers, and Cardinals. With more than 75 years of history, the Phoenix Boys Choir continues to shape young musicians while enriching the community with transformative performances.
